Sustainability tech company ClimateCamp aims to accelerate supplier engagement and decarbonization efforts.
ClimateCamp has raised €3.5 million in a seed funding round led by Expon Capital, with support from VLAIO, Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy, KBC, PMV, and Birdhouse Ventures. The investment will help scale its platform, which enables businesses to engage suppliers, measure carbon footprints, and reduce Scope 3 emissions—often the largest and most complex part of corporate carbon reduction strategies.
Since launching in 2022, ClimateCamp has expanded rapidly, now supporting over 800 companies, with a goal of reaching 2,000 by the end of the year. Initially focused on the brewing industry, the company has since expanded into food manufacturing and packaging.
“We’re investing in ClimateCamp because tackling Scope 3 emissions is one of the biggest challenges in sustainability, and they’ve built a smart, scalable way to solve it,”
said Marc Gendebien, Managing Partner at Expon Capital.
Despite regulatory uncertainties, ClimateCamp sees growing demand for emissions reduction. “Our goal is to bring 1 million companies together by 2030 to collaborate on climate targets, joint action plans, and real emissions reductions,” said Stijn Gysemans, co-founder and CEO.
Driving Impact Through Supplier Collaboration
One example of ClimateCamp’s approach in action is its partnership with Novy, a kitchen appliance manufacturer looking to streamline supplier engagement and carbon tracking. By leveraging ClimateCamp’s platform, Novy was able to collect emissions data from its suppliers efficiently, many of whom had not previously calculated their carbon footprint. This created a ‘snowball effect,’ encouraging more companies in Novy’s supply chain to start their own sustainability journey.
“We can move their whole value chain towards a positive impact,” said Jasper Roelants, Account Executive at ClimateCamp. The partnership highlights how collaborative data-sharing can drive industry-wide decarbonization and inspire broader supplier action.
With a team of over 18 employees operating across Belgium and Luxembourg, ClimateCamp is now poised to accelerate its mission of turning corporate climate commitments into tangible progress.
