We are looking for engineers who are familiar with the process of developing complex systems from the idea to the finished product. A hands-on approach and a very good understanding of technological processes involved in the development and production of powertrain systems is mandatory.
The ideal candidate has a strong passion for cars, technology and engineering with a background of power electronics and has worked on additional projects within the industry.
1. Responsibilities
Design and development of new inverter system based on Si IGBT or SiC MOSFET technologies
Performs detailed studies and analysis of the inverter system (including the mechanical, thermal, electrical, and controls architecture) with emphasis on performance evaluation, design optimization, component selection and sizing, control strategy develop
Works with embedded hardware, embedded software and enclosure engineers to assign requirements, discuss tradeoffs, perform design reviews and ensure successful integration of the inverter design
Create and maintain manufacturing and testing instructions, routings, and associated processes
Participate in the development and maintenance of FMEAs and control plans
Participate in the transition of a product from concept to pilot line production and into mass manufacturing
2. Requirements:
Master’s Degree in electrical or mechatronics engineering
At least 5 years of professional experience in power electronics
Technical career oriented, focus in automotive engineering
Experience supervising other engineering tasks (assembly drawings, PCB layout, software development, validation testing)
A high level of technical knowledge and experience of inverter design, packaging, technology, machining, production and testing
Fluent English in spoken and written form
Highly Skilled in organization and planning
Strong analytical capabilities, problem solving and interpersonal skills
A team player, who is both flexible and creative in their approach to problem solving
3. Considered as an advantage:
Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink
Knowledge of engineering standards for automotive application
Familiar with circuit simulation tools
PCBs and final product testing experience
Knowledge of German (not obligatory)
